During Q3 2023, the top five photo and video applications in Kuwait showed varied performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at each app's performance based on Sensor Tower data.

YouTube: Watch, Listen, Stream saw a notable fluctuation in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $149K in the week of August 21 and maintaining a consistent range around $100K to $138K in most weeks. Weekly downloads showed a slight decline over the quarter, starting from 8.2K in late June and dropping to around 5.9K by the end of September. However, the app maintained a robust number of weekly active users, hovering around 2.2M throughout the quarter.

FaceApp: Perfect Face Editor experienced relatively stable weekly revenue, generally ranging from $11K to $19K. Weekly downloads saw a significant drop from 2.4K in mid-July to around 1K by the end of September. Active users also declined slightly, from around 14.8K in early July to approximately 11.2K by the end of the quarter.

Snapchat displayed a stable revenue trend, with weekly earnings ranging between $11K and $17K. Downloads showed a downward trend, starting at 16.2K in late June and falling to about 9K by the end of September. The app's active user base remained relatively steady, staying close to 1.05M throughout the quarter.

Instagram had a more dynamic revenue performance, peaking at $23K in the week of August 7 and maintaining figures between $7K and $22K in other weeks. Weekly downloads remained consistent, averaging around 14K to 16K. Active users increased steadily, from 1.24M in late June to approximately 1.32M by the end of September.

Lastly, Canva: Design, Art & AI Editor showed a gradual increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $13K in the last week of September. Downloads fluctuated but increased significantly in early September, reaching up to 3.2K. The app’s active users also saw a slight increase, from around 19.8K in late June to approximately 21.3K by mid-September.
